One of three men stabbed in a series of "random attacks" in Dublin yesterday afternoon has shared a shocking photo of his neck wound.


Residents in the Stoneybatter area, west of Temple Bar near the centre of the capital, were told to stay indoors on Sunday afternoon after reports of violence.


A man has been arrested after the serious incident, with two men suffering injuries described as serious but not life-threatening, while a third man had less serious injuries, Irish police said.

Victim Cormac posted a photo on Instagram of his injury sustained in the series of attacks in the Stoneybatter area of ​​Dublin.

Mocking the serious incident, he posted a photo sipping a beer while showing his stitched neck on his Instagram story, writing: "Throat stitched. Attacker arrested. Beer on tap. We'll live to see another day."


The Irish Times reported that at least one of the victims was attacked in her own doorway, and all were believed to have been stabbed with household objects.

In a statement on X, Prime Minister Micheal Martin said: "Our thoughts are with the victims of the shocking attacks in Stoneybatter this morning.


"I want to pay tribute to the police and emergency services for their swift response.


"I wish all those affected a full recovery and would urge anyone with information to contact police."
